Physics Photography Competition 2023
We are excited to announce that our Physics Photography Competition has returned. We are proud to run this competition as part of the Ogden Science Trust Partnership. There is a power-point below with more information and the children have all been told about it. Photos need to be sent in by Thursday 16th March to: willows@newroad.calderdale.sch.uk

Space Camp 2023
Another fantastic Space Camp took place on Thursday 2nd February 2023 for all the Year 5 children. They enjoyed participating in a 'Space Boot Camp' as trainee Space Cadets.
The children sampled Space food to experience what astronauts eat when they are aboard their spacecrafts.
Although it was a little cloudy the children still had fun using the telescope to locate the moon.
Space Camp 2022
Year 5 had a great time at Space Camp on Wednesday 16th February 2022. They tasted 'space food', made constellations, looked at the full Snow Moon using a telescope and attended boot camp to become Space Cadets.
A great time was had by all as you can see in the photos below!!
We look forward to sharing more updates on our Physics Olympics event which will take place on Wednesday 6th April 2022. The event will involve some of our KS2 children, the 'New Road Newtons,' who will be competing in a challenge alongside children from other local schools.
